NAIL SURGERY

PODIATRY CARE TO THE TIPS OF YOUR TOES

Professionally performed nail surgery

Although they are often neglected, your toenails can
require as much care and attention as the rest of your feet.
If your toenails are ingrowing, damaged or involuted,
our clinics in Tring and Hemel Hempstead are here to
help you. Betafeet Podiatry offers specialist procedures
across Hertfordshire and other areas to perform nail
surgery and treat fungal nails, all while giving you a
personal and compassionate service.

How we perform nail surgeries

Betafeet Podiatry specialises in nail surgery known as Total Nail Avulsion (TNA) or Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA) for clients with severe nail problems. The procedure is carried out to the highest health and safety standards and we will make sure that everything is fully explained to you beforehand so that you are fully comfortable with the procedure. Before surgery, our professional podiatrists will complete a pre-surgery assessment and will take a full medical history. The procedure is completed under local anaesthetic with all or part of the nail being removed, including the growing area at the base. A chemical is then used to stop the nail re-growing. See more information on the following link: http://www.betafeetpodiatry.co.uk/nail-surgery2

REHABILITION AFTER SURGERY

After the nail surgery procedure is complete, all clients will need to return for re-dressing and will need to rest the foot as much as possible. It is important to wear roomy shoes or sandals for the first couple of weeks as healing can take up to a month or 6 weeks. Our podiatrists will provide ongoing support, giving advice and answering any questions you might have during this time.
NAIL SURGERY FAQ’S

FIGHTING BACK WITH FUNGAL NAIL TREATMENTS

Fighting back with fungal nail treatments. Fungal nails
used to be incredibly difficult to treat, leaving sufferers
with unsightly or painful nails for months or even years. But
at Betafeet Podiatry we are currently trialing a
revolutionary new treatment method called
‘Micro-Penetration’. This fungal nail treatment option
involves a painless process of drilling small holes through
the fungal nail plate, allowing deeper access into the areas
of infection rather than just the surface of the nail.
Together with the application of a topical solution (in
this case, an anti-fungal treatment called Loceryl
Curanail® or Amorolfine) to get into the fungal area
through the drill holes, we can potentially treat fungal nail
infections more effectively. We are excited to offer our
clients a new way to say goodbye to fungal nails forever!
